NAS (Network Attached Storage) is a storage system supported by Linux. The operation of this device is based on the simultaneous operation of several hard drives.

US Synology devices can be connected to VyprVPN in two ways: using OpenVPN or PPTP protocols. To connect Synology NAS using OpenVPN, you should follow these steps according to our instructions.
Before installation, please download the OpenVPN certificate from here (right-click the link and select “Save As …”).
How to setup NAS on VyprVPN using OVPN?
Under the Network Interface tab, select Create, then create VPN profile
In the General Settings window, enter the following information:
Profile name: name of your choice
Server Address: enter the server hostname here
Username: your account
Password: your password
Port: 1194
Protocol: UDP
You should browse to the certificate you downloaded before setup. Select it. Click Next.
Make sure to check the following options:
✓ Enable compression on the VPN link
✓ Use default gateway on remote network
✓ Allow other network devices to connect through this Synology server’s Internet connect
✓ Reconnect when the VPN connection is lost
Click Apply.
